Activities
A holiday at Sandsjögården's Holiday Resort is relaxing, joyful and tasteful. Forget about your everyday hectic and grant your soul a time-out.
If you prefer to have more diversity or adventure, we of course also offer a selection of activities. Please feel free to contact us by phone or e-mail or to speak to one of Sandsjögården's team members at the reception. We will be glad to help you find the right activity for you and help you with booking, reservations or transfer issues.
›Winter offerings 2014/2015
Are you feeling like adding a pinch of adventure to your winter holiday at lake Sandsjön? As of now the following activities can be booked directly with us:
- Snowshoeing tours (anything from easy going to several day trekkings)*
- Snowmobile tours (day and/or several day tours or trekkings)*

- Kennel visit incl. petting the dogs

›Fishing & Rental boats
Discover fantastic fishing waters and set for Sandsjön’s infamous large trout.
Our fishing area offers a large fishing variety with lakes, rivers, creeks and pools. Nearby roads and nice paths make the fishing spots easy accessible. The area offers a multitude of wind shelters with fireplaces, which are open to the public. At certain times the river Juktån offers a very good fishing for grayling and trout in streaming waters. In the most upper parts of the area fly-fishing exclusively applies. In ponds and quiet waters there are fantastic opportunities for pike and perch.
The Sandsjön (Sandlake) is 6 km long and 2 km wide. Fishing is possible all year-round. The crystal clear lake is up to 30 metres deep and its fishing resource includes char, salmon trout, whitefish, pike, perch and burbot. The largest char, registered by the former Sandsjögården team, weighted an impressive 8.9 kilos and the largest salmon trout came up to 4.6 kilos.

At Sandsjögården's reception we also sell fishing licences for the other fishing areas of the "Laxriket" region.
Hire a boat
At present two rowing boats incl. paddles and an inflatable fishing kajak are available. We also have life jackets in different sizes. Please make your reservation at the reception of Sandsjögården.

›Hunting
You can hunt small game on a 4'900 ha area around the Sandsjön. The hunting territory includes young and old forrest, moorlands and small lakes/stretches of water.
You can buy the hunting licence at the reception of Sandsjögården. We can also provide you with a map of the hunting territory.

›Sleddog Adventure
Our great passion are sleddogs. Thus, we have 21 Alaskan Malamutes and Greenlanddogs, who live in a kennel adjacent to our holiday resort. If you are interested to know more about our offerings with the sleddogs, please contact us as follows:

›Sauna
Sandsjögården has a beautiful bastu stuga (sauna), located at the water front of the Sandsjön. Our sauna is layed out for a maximum of 10 persons. Please refer to the reception of Sandsjögården for reservations and information about fees.
